Meet the team: Federica Bugnoli — Project Manager & In-house Translator, Italy 🇮🇹

Hi! I’m Federica — a 26-year-old geek living in a small countryside town near Ravenna. I studied Intercultural Mediation and then Specialized Translation at the University of Forlì. While I was looking for an internship, I stumbled upon Native Prime… and I was lucky enough to be welcomed aboard!
I’ve been playing video games for as long as I can remember 🎮 — I started with the Game Boy Advance SP and the first Nintendo DS, then moved on to PlayStation 2 and eventually PC. Combine that with my love for languages and translation and… voilà!
Working in game localization felt like a natural fit.
One thing I always tell developers is to take into account the differences between languages, especially when it comes to issues that may arise from masculine and feminine differences. And most importantly: what seems obvious to a developer might be confusing to a translator with no context, therefore some notes about the text here and there are always helpful.
Outside of work and playing video games, I’m a big fantasy nerd and a shameless book hoarder (or book dragon — sounds cooler, right?) 🐉. I’ve also played the piano for most of my life, and I’m into pretty much every kind of music.
