Hi! Iโm Federica โ a 26-year-old geek living in a small countryside town near Ravenna. I studied Intercultural Mediation and then Specialized Translation at the University of Forlรฌ. While I was looking for an internship, I stumbled upon Native Prime… and I was lucky enough to be welcomed aboard!
Iโve been playing video games for as long as I can remember ๐ฎ โ I started with the Game Boy Advance SP and the first Nintendo DS, then moved on to PlayStation 2 and eventually PC. Combine that with my love for languages and translation andโฆ voilร !Working in game localization felt like a natural fit.
One thing I always tell developers is taking into account the differences between languages, especially when it comes to issues that may rise from masculine and feminine differences. And most importantly: what seems obvious to a developer might be confusing to a translator with no context, therefore some notes about the text here and there are always helpful.
Outside of work and playing video games, Iโm a big fantasy nerd and a shameless book hoarder (or book dragon โ sounds cooler, right?) ๐. Iโve also played the piano for most of my life, and Iโm into pretty much every kind of music.
